Progression Routes in Media

After finishing my Level 3 media course I would like to go to university and get a bachelors degree in film and moving production. I have been looking at universities and two stick out to me. They are the Norwich University of the Arts (BA Film and Moving Image Production Degree) and University for the Creative Arts (Film Production). Both courses require 112 UCAS tariff points. As long as I get a merit or distinction in the course that I'm on, I should have enough UCAS points paired with my Level 2 Art and Design pass. Both courses require 4 A*-C GCSE passes, including English and Maths. I am hoping to achieve a passing grade in maths this year or the next, either way I'll have three passing GCSE grades: English language and literature, Maths and Religious Education. This is one short of the grades needed but I'm hoping that since the universities often make exceptions based on the students circumstances and their portfolio, they may be able to make an exception.
If this fails, I will try and look for an apprenticeship. Although they are extremely exclusive, Buzzfeed offer apprenticeships in content creation such as articles and short videos. There are also a range of other apprenticeships available on Indeed.co.uk such as these:
