Proposal for FMP

In my FMP I hope to tell the story of a young LGBT person who has been forced to move out of his home in order to live peacefully. I don't want my film to be too obvious or on the nose, instead being told without dialogue and through suggestive cinematography to show the nuances and untold emotions that manifest when undergoing this kind of stress such as fear of receiving affection, trust issues and guilt. My FMP works to my abilities because it is a subject I am close to, as well as the face that the type of editing I want to use is the same that I've been using throughout the course. I won't need much equipment except for a video camera, Premiere Pro and After Effects as most of my planned shots are very basic; much of the magic is in the editing. The film is influenced by much of Brian Jordan Alvarez's work - specifically 'Everything is Free' which is a LGBT drama/comedy which takes a brutal, unexpected turn halfway through that although may have been uncomfortable, set a raw tone for the rest of the movie. For the roles I need one female and one male actor other than myself. I need a mother role for the main character. The mother, obviously, is very distressed about her son being gay and serves as the main problem of the film. I need one male actor to play a friend of the main character who takes the brunt of the main character's emotional instability and, often, immaturity, given that the main character has become a product of his circumstances (poor home life, young age, already low quality of life due to feelings of isolation.)
